Burgin Christian Church began its ministry in 1830 following a decision to separate from the baptist church and join the fellowship started by Alexander Campbell and Barton Stone. The congregation initially met at Shawnee Run Baptist Church and Cane Ridge School House until the current building was constructed in 1895.
Our goal is to be a nurturing, faithful, body of believers. We seek to be active in our faith through regular worship, educational programming, and intentional outreach to our community.
Our motto is 'Come as you are, take what you need, share what you have.' This is reflective of our attitude to be welcoming to all, giving to the needs of the world, and receiving the blessings God gives.
